Where: Athens, Greece
When: June 14, 2007
Why: I have to write something
So, I left SFO on June 12th and had a stopover in London enroute to Amsterdam. I hang out with two businessmen from my hotel, whom I met in the shuttle, and we decided to paint Amsterdam red. But of course, Amsterdam is already red so, we just soak in its redness and went to a couple of coffee shops. Hey, I never had a joint in my entire life and I wouldn't start now. But in The Bulldog smack in the Red Light District, Amir and I were secondhand smoking Ahmad's Purple Haze and Afghan Hash.
Blur....
I can still remember being in Centraal Station and walking along the green tunnel back to our hotel. But all that smoke had me passed out and I was still in bed an hour and a half before my flight to Athens this morning. I rushed out of my hotel, jumped in the shuttle, and scurried my way to check in at Schipol. Of course, I was in a hurry so I was shouting "Excuse me!" to everyone while tagging on my luggage in that busy crowded airport. Out of the blue, one girl in her thick Italian accent said, "What the f**k?!?" I turned around thinking that I must have ran her over with my 50 pounder luggage. Yeah, I had a purple Diane Von Furstenberg monster. Anyway, I was ready to say "I'm sorry I didn't mean to" until I realized that none of my belongings even slightly touched her. So, I retorted "It's a lot of f**k. Leave me alone!"
Surprisingly, I was in combat mode! If she had said something back I would have kicked her ass back to Rome and she didn't even have to board her flight with Alitalia. No one dare mess with me if I'mthisclosetomissingmyflight. Dammit!
